The Circle of Love Community Outreach
Oil of Joy Ministries Christian Center is pleased to announce the launching of the Circle of Love Community Outreach. The Circle of Love Community Outreach seeks to serve the communities in which we live and will provide services to encourage our youth to feel good about themselves as a result of their own personal achievements and successes, to help them develop a positive sense of self, to aid them in becoming active and creative explorers while becoming enthusiastic learners in the process.
As we seek to provide a change within the community, we endeavor to first change those who will one day provide leadership within these same communities. Knowing this, we are reaching out for the assistance of family, friends and kingdom co-laborers; and invite you to help us reach thousands by participating in our “5000-to-1 Initiative.” We are asking 5000 people to support our cause by donating $1! This initiative will help us establish a financial capacity to supply our children with positive programs to challenge their personal views while encouraging growth and productivity. These programs will include talent/fashion shows, sessions with keynote speakers, counseling, as well as the necessary transportation to and from our Waldorf facility.
It is the desire of this outreach program to positively affect the lives of our youth with educational, emotional and social setbacks; such as but not limited to teenage mothers, victims of domestic violence, children within the foster care system, individuals involved in local gangs and those who are distressed by bullying. As many of us have been plagued with the mindset that we are the only one going through problems, our challenges reside in building up the courage to express ourselves to someone who will hear us but may not understand. We intend to address these issues by not only providing a listening ear, but also recommending suggestive answers and methods of life applications through round table and private discussions that will help our youth develop self-confidence, self-determination and self-worth.
