Pastor Charles Hamlin, Jr., has been given a mandate to minister a true word from the Lord that will not only heal, but also comfort, strengthen, deliver and release the yoke of bondage that has mentally imprisoned and spiritually paralyzed the children of God for far too long.

As a young child, he knew that he was called to be a preacher of the Gospel.  His parents never failed to teach him the principles of Holiness; and he always knew that it was the only way to live.  During his young adulthood, he went through stages of running, disobedience and denial, but the Lord continued to show His grace and mercy in his life.

After Pastor Hamlin surrendered his life to the Lord and received the precious gift of the Holy Ghost, he was appointed a deacon in October 2002 and was licensed to preach the gospel in April 2003.  After making proof of his ministry, he was ordained an elder in August 2005.

In April 2006, he accepted his calling into the pastorate and began working diligently along with his wife, Lady Petrina Hamlin, on the foundation of Oil of Joy Ministries Christian Center.  Under the leadership of Pastor Charles Hamlin, Jr., Oil of Joy Ministries Christian Center was birthed in February 2007 in Fort Washington, Maryland. 

Pastor Hamlin is a pastor according to the heart of God who seeks daily to feed His people with knowledge and understanding.  He is a man of great integrity; who is dedicated to loving, exhorting, and strengthening a nation of people who are dying and in need of spiritual resuscitation.

As the chief servant and visionary of Oil of Joy Ministries Christian Center, Pastor Hamlin works tirelessly to build the Kingdom of God. He strives to develop leaders to minister to those who have been wounded in the pews and deeply hurt within the church walls.

Pastor Hamlin has immeasurable faith in God and has truly been anointed to love God’s people. Through this ministry, the vision given to him by God and his God-given ability to teach and preach the unadulterated Word of God, he will empower the people of God to live a life of Holiness and effectively deal with today’s struggles, problems and daily situations.

Pastor Hamlin is retired from the Prince George’s County Office of the Sheriff. In his home, where his ministry begins, he is the loving husband of over 11 years to Lady Petrina Hamlin and the proud father of two beautiful daughters – Yasmin Charnique and Dymond Ondeya.
