As you grow in the Spirit, you will learn to form habits that will energize and renew your spiritual life. Through the teachings of Joy 201 – Spiritual Growth Class, you will initially learn to develop practical steps in making time with God a powerful and essential part of your daily routine. You will receive helpful tips on overcoming the largest obstacles that you can expect to face as you get started.
Every growing believer needs to talk and commune with God – worship and prayer. For some, talking to God can be intimidating, but it does not have to be. For others, communing with God is a fearful experience, and that does not have to be either. In our spiritual growth class, you will discover that God desires conversation and communion with you; He is much more interested in you authentically talking and communing with Him, than He is in critiquing your worship and prayers. So, to get you started on the right path, you will learn a pattern for worship and prayer taken right out of the life of Jesus and doctrinal teaching.
This spiritual growth class will also cover financial giving. Admittedly, this is a sensitive subject within the church because few things give a more piercing look into our spiritual lives than how we choose to handle our financial resources. This area will help you take a healthy look at priorities and what really matters in life.
Finally, you will clearly see the value of Christian relationships. At Oil of Joy Ministries Christian Center, there are many opportunities to gather with other believers and Christians. You will find that there is the larger group worship experience at the weekend services and the smaller group experience where you can connect with other believers in a deeper, more personal setting.
As part of the Joy 201 – Spiritual Growth Class, you will learn how the people at Oil of Joy Ministries Christian Center can grow as part of a spiritual family called the “chosen few”.
